The issues will be relevant to foreigners conducting businesses in China, Japan and other Chinese-dominant Asian countries because they will learn about the cultural and institutional foundations behind these societies’ practices and behaviour.

Course content: With regards to China, Japan and also other societies, the course will offer specific discussions on (1) theories to understanding society and culture; and (2) various social institutions, such as education, mass media and industrial relations.
