Description of the exam
procedure
In order to participate in the oral
exam, the written product must be handed in before the oral exam;
by the set deadline. The grade is based on an overall assessment of
the written product and the individual oral performance.
The exam is a group exam based on an analysis of the diversity
related organizational change challenge and the intervention plan
designed to solve it. Students will work in groups of 3-5 to
complete the analysis and the intervention plan.
The length of the report does not depend on the size of the group.
There will be an oral group exam with individual assessment and
grades.
Allowed aids: The written report and prepared presentation of the
report.

Course content and
structure |
The course combines lectures with in-class discussions and
student presentations. Ideally, discussion will play a substantial
part, but this is likely to be determined by the class size. The
assigned readings are generally biased towards papers that include
diverse empirical illustrations of unfolding change and these will
to the greatest possible extent be employed as case material for
class discussions.
Moreover, each class will include one student presentation. The
class will be divided into groups and, depending on class size,
each group can expect to present once or twice during the course.
An online blog has been established for the course
(www.ischangeaverb.wordpress.com)
to enable out-of-class dialogue. Non-proprietary course material
will be uploaded to the blog, as will ‘reading guides’ for each
class.
