This course teaches students about various culture and identity theories. It demonstrates how these theories can be used with empirical knowledge, as well as applied in academic and professional contexts. Students should be able to apply knowledge and theories to cases. | |||||||||||||||||||||
Course prerequisites | |||||||||||||||||||||
No specific requirements. Knowledge about culture & identity theories could be advantage, but not necessary. Students are expected to come with knowledge & interest in a variety of subject areas e.g. policy, marketing, communication & intercultural communication, etc. This interest & knowledge will be relevant to discussion and application of culture & identity theories in praxis. Students are expected to participate in class & discussions, as well as contribute ideas for case studies. | |||||||||||||||||||||
