Learning objectives |
To achieve the grade 12, students
should meet the following learning objectives with no or only minor
mistakes or errors: At the end of the course students should be
able to:
- analyze core EU institutional structures and assess the ways in
which business interests interact with them.
- evaluate changes in EU policies and institutions and their
impact on business opportunities.
- explain basic theories of EU integration.
- show analytical proficiency in handling research questions and
in supporting theory-driven arguments with relevant empirical
evidence.

Course content and
structure |
The course provides the students with an understanding of how to
to economic and business environment is changing in the European
Union due to the single market and other business related policies
and how these changes lead two new kinds of constraints and
opportunities for business. The course should provide students with
1) a basic understanding of integration theories; 2) an
understanding of the development of the European Union and 3) an
understanding of key policy issues in the EU, major institutional
players och dess (potential) impact on the business environment and
the EU economy.
