Learning objectives
To achieve the grade 12, students should meet the following learning objectives with no or only minor mistakes or errors: In the end of this course, the students should be able to:
  • Demonstrate a theoretical and practical mastery of the central concepts and theories associated with actions of organizations and the members of organizations.
  • Apply theories and concepts as tool to explain and analyze contemporary organizational cases and situations.
  • Analyze processual, cultural, structural and environmental conditions affecting contemporary organizations. nature in organizations dynamics and interactions.
  • Discuss human motives, interaction, collaboration, culture and norms in organizations.

Course prerequisites
Academic qualifications and limitations: The students must document a level in English equal to TOEFL 575 and a level in mathematics equal to Danish level B. Expected participation rate is 200 hours during the course including readings and discussion group participation outside class.

In order to participate in the oral exam, the written product must be handed in before the oral exam; by the set deadline. The grade is based on an overall assessment of the written product and the individual oral performance.

Course content and structure

The primary aim of the course is to acquaint the student with contemporary perspectives on how organizations act and how organizations impact the actions of organizational members. It is the purpose to encourage an active and questioning approach to behavior in organizations and to align case studies, theory and methodical traditions when explore the challenges and potentials in contemporary organizations.
