Course content and structure | ||||||||||||||||||||||
This course is an introduction to Danish language and culture, designed to enable students to perform basic tasks in a Danish-speaking context. Practical language skills will be acquired through grammar drills, role-playing and interactive activities. Discussions will focus on aspects of everyday life - e.g. travel, shopping, ordering food, social customs - as well as basic reading and communication skills. Successful completion of the course corresponds to A2 on the
Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for
Languages. Attendance and participation are essential for
success in this course.

Teaching methods | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Practical language skills will be acquired
through grammar drills, role-playing and interpersonal activities.
Discussions will focus on aspects of everyday life – e.g. travel,
shopping, ordering food and social customs - as well as basic
reading and communication skills. The teaching language will be a
mixture of English and Danish, with increasing emphasis on Danish
as the course progresses.
