Course content and structure

The course develops the foundation for understanding and dealing with the challenges of an innovative economy and its multiple and complex relationships to the organisational context for entrepreneurship. This developmetn takes as its point of departure the normality of anlytical strategies and methods that characterises mangement thinking and practice. In perspective of increasing an organisation's entrepreneurial capability, it is important to understand how such rationality did emerge and what problems it brings. The course identifies, defines and elaborates on concepts and approaches provided in intrapreneurship- and corporate entrepreneurship litterature, but opens up to an emphasis on creativity, collective creativity and entrepreneurial leadership. Students are introduced to problems that characterise organisational innovation and entrepreneurship and initiate the development of skills needed in analysing and dealing with such problems. Cases are used to focus learning on concrete challenges that marks the transition into postindustrial economy.
