The course introduces students to basic descriptive and inferential statistics for communication research. Bi-weekly lectures take on topics such as measures of central tendency and variance, correlations, hypothesis tests, analysis of variance, and network analysis. They are paired with exercises in statistical computing relevant to communication research. The exercises make use of open-source software R. |
