Learning objectives
The aim of the course is that students – after having followed the course Corporate Finance – are able to:
  • Combine and apply insight from the syllabus to solve corporate finance problems through accurate and correct calculations.
  • Show and explain all relevant calculations to solve a given problem.
  • State the assumptions behind the theories / methods /models in the syllabus.
  • Independently combine and logically structure the corporate finance vocabulary /theories / methods / models / regulatory/institutional/practical knowledge, and empirical evidence to solve corporate finance problems.
Course prerequisites
AEF, ASC, FIR and FSM students cannot participate in the course.

Course content and structure

Corporate finance is concerned with economic decisions in corporations; e.g.
 

  •  Corporation’s investment decision.
  •  Corporation’s payout policy.
  •  Financing of corporations.
  •  Corporate control and corporate governance.

 

Course objective is to provide students with a solid knowledge of corporations’ capital budgeting and financing decisions.

Lectures with exercises.
