After this course, the student should be able to:
  • describe and discuss central legal issues relating to the subject;
  • identify concrete legal issues in real situation and suggest relevant legal solutions
  • analyse legal problems based on relevant sources of law

In order to participate in the oral exam, the written product must be handed in before the oral exam; by the set deadline. The grade is based on an overall assessment of the written product and the individual oral performance.

Description of the exam procedure
Course content and structure

This course has a hands-on approach to handling legal aspects of starting up an IT business in Denmark. The focus is on Danish law, including relevant EU legislation. During the course, the student is to establish a fictious business, which serves as a basis for practial application of the subject matter tought during the course. In addition to handling practical issues, the student should also be able understand and use relevant sources of law in discussions of the subject matter. Items dealt with in this course may include, choice of legal structure (company), the business’ contracts, employment, and the legal protection of assets.
