Course content and
structure |
Today's business environments need new communication
solutions. Certain proactive companies have already discovered the
competitive advantages offered by state-of-the-art communication
tools and methods. However, the vast majority of SMEs, trusts, and
public organizations are still not aware.
This course prepares the student to become an active agent in the
dynamic field of modern business communication, be it as a
consultant or as a self-employed language expert, by introducing
her / him hands-on to the most promising tools and methods. The
course does not require any previous experience with computer
programming since all methods and tools are studied in a user
friendly, hands-on fashion.
The student will be trained as an advanced user, localiser, and
professional advisor to communication based companies and
organizations, with special regard to support for translation,
spoken communication, web interfacing, and database maintenance. As
an integrated part of the course, participants will meet and
cooperate with actual Danish companies and organizations facing
specific communication challenges.
|
Teaching methods |
This course is based on lectures in
areas such as speech recognition, computersupported translation,
and web technology (including the use and development of apps).
Students will apply the methodologies and tools learned in lectures
in hands on practical sessions using the relevant tools. |
