Course content and structure

The aim of the BA project is to firmly establish the students' qualifications in the areas that the programme cover. With this aim in mind the students choose an area of interest among those they have been introduced to in the course of the programme within which they would like to write their BA project and formulate a research question. The research question should relate to the / one of those countries where the language that the student specialises in is spoken.

Teaching methods
In the context of the writing of the BA project the programme offers a number of lectures that address the most common problems that may arise in the process of project work. The lectures go into depth with these problems and unfold possible solutions. Focus is on five key areas;
- How to find and formulate a research question
- How to develop a research design
- How to identity and employ methods and data
- How to integrate theory and empirical data
- How to manage the writing and presentation of the project.

Furthermore, the program offers supervision paying due attention to the language that the student specialises in and therefore writes in the project in. The number of hours allocated to supervision follows the CBS norm and is including time for preparation.
