Course content and structure

This course gives an overview of modern industrial organizations and, with its focus on inter-firm relations. It complements KAN-CAEFO1074U Firm Theory and Corporate Governance which is focused on the intra-firm relations.

We will use microeconomics, game theory and econometrics to analyze how firms strategically interact in markets. After reviewing the basic oligopoly models, the course will cover antitrust policy, contractual relations between firms, non-price competition and network issues.
