Course content and structure | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The overall purpose of the project activities in the M.Sc in E-business is to work with a problem chosen by the student him- or herself, which falls under the general objective of the programme and provides the student with basis for progress towards the thesis work.
The project activities thus provide an opportunity to prepare for the master thesis. Furthermore, the idea behind the 22,5 ECTS EBUSS projects is to use them in a cumulative way, so that the student may form a business idea in the first project, plan how to carry it out in the second project, and execute the plan in the third project. It is important that the project activities during the 2nd and/or 3rd semester are used for information retrieval and the identification of the thesis subject.
The business discipline (covered by B-courses, business courses) covers business models, including issues related to marketing, project management, and entrepreneurship.
The objective of the teaching activities of the B-courses is that the student acquires skills in innovation, design, planning, implementation, and documentation of IT for business solutions and integration of IT in organisations. A B-project can cover e.g. issues related to digital business models, planning, architecture etc. All B-projects must be related to a digital technology.
A 16-week project always covers two subject areas (e.g. B and T), and must thus treat both areas in a comprehensive manner. |
