Course content and structure |
The aim of the course is to equip the students with organization
theories which enable them to understand and analyze organisational
challenges. The challenges are related to the following:
motivation, environment, culture, learning, strategy, mangement,
change and decision making. The course also uses relevant
empirical case material, thereby allowing the students to see how
the various organizational theories can be used to generate insight
into organisations.
|
Teaching methods |
Teaching methods consist of lectures and
exercises. During the lecture the main organizational theories will
be presented and discussed. During the exercises the students, both
individually and in groups, will work with relevant cases to apply
the theories. |
Feedback during the teaching period |
Two times during the course, the students will be
asked to complete and hand-in a 5 page synopsis assignment in
groups of 3-5 students. The teachers will provide feedback to the
groups based on these assigments. The assigments will be similar to
the assigments given for the written part of the exam. |
