Description of the exam procedure

Oral exam where a question is related to one of the course themes. The exam includes a specific discussion of the question as well as a broader discussion of other models and concepts from the course. Emphasis is placed on the student being able to relate the question to a concrete context. The exam will be conducted in English.

Course content and structure

The goal of an integrated IS environment is to enable the success of a company through changes that continuously support the company and its strategy. Focusing on IT and digital strategy, the company will be able to address the ongoing digitalization and business needs for information and / or abolition of information systems and digitalization.
 
Emphasis will be placed on understanding which discussions and topics are relevant to an enterprise when considering information systems and digital technologies.

The subject areas are:
Information systems' and digital technologies' overall strategic value for companies. Are information systems/digital technologies a strategic resource and / or 'just' a means of achieving strategic benefits for the company? What are the considerations for IT and digital strategy in an organization?
 
Information systems' and digitalization's relation to the company's development. How do these relate to its digitalization and business goals?
 
What challenges does a company face with the IT and digital strategizing?

Description of the teaching methods
A combination of face-to-face and online teaching, which is pedagogically designed such that part of the teaching and learning process takes place online. There will be small group exercises and discussion during the course.
Feedback during the teaching period
Ongoing joint dialogue in connection with teaching. Ability to upload questions and comments anonymously via LEARN or Mentimeter - common feed-back for course lectures. Individual dialogue in office hours
