In order to participate in the oral exam, the written product must be handed in before the oral exam; by the set deadline. The grade is based on an overall assessment of the written product and the individual oral performance.

The student’s spelling and writing skills are taken into consideration in the overall assessment of the examination performance, but the academic content is given the highest weight.
Regulations regarding the summary The summary can be written in English or in a Scandinavian language (Danish, Swedish or Norwegian). The summary is part of the page count.

Re-exam when the ordinary exam is failed is an individual oral exam (30 minutes per student) based on the original report (40-80 pages depending on group size) and 5 to 10 standard page supplement. The report must also be resubmitted.

Make-up exam when ill with Doctor's certificate at the ordinary exam is an individual oral exam (30 minutes per student) based on the original report. The report must also be resubmitted.

Make-up exam when ill with Doctor's certificate during the writing of the project is the same as the ordinary exam.
Description of the exam procedure

 

It is possible to apply for exemption to take the oral exam as a group. A group oral exam will be max. 1 hour and 30 minutes including discussion and giving of grades. The exemption must be sent to the Study Board no later than the project hand in deadline.

Course content and structure

This capstone project is the conclusion of the BSc in international Business and Politics. It is an independent project, written with a faculty advisor, and students can pursue their own interests within the broad area of international business and politics. Projects can pursue a purely theoretical question, or they can focus on an action- or policy-oriented problem, or they can pose problems that combine such elements.

 

Approximately 3 weeks before hand-in a bachelor student conference is held. It is intended to help you to critically reflect upon the content and set-up of your thesis, allow you to practice presenting the main ideas of your thesis to an audience talking about methodological, theoretical and analytical matters in a coherent way. You are expected to participate in the bachelor student conference

Description of the teaching methods
Face-to-face teaching: Individual supervision and student conference.
Feedback during the teaching period
Feedback is an integral part of the project and dissertation-writing process. From the outset, students are strongly encouraged and advised to play a full part in review sessions and other opportunities to secure feedback from both teaching staff and other students. Students should also maintain contact with their supervisor on a regular basis and prepare in advance for supervision sessions by drawing up an agenda listing questions or issues.
