The course offers the students knowledge about
theories and concepts underlying the circular economy and present
current and past developments of the area. It will enable them to
assess and discuss the transition from linear supply chains over
closed loops to circular economy. They will learn how circularity
and related business models create value and how to implement
circularity strategies, including tools and standards for circular
economy. Furthermore, students should be enabled to identify
opportunities and challenges on the way of implementing a circular
business strategy.

Description of the teaching methods | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
The course follows a mixed-methods approach. Traditional classroom teaching will be only one part of the course, while the students are expected to take an active role with own presentations and inputs. Cases and exercises are analyzed and discussed to illustrate the theoretical foundation of the course and link it to practical examples. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

The students will get feedback through these discussions and presentations but also through mini-quizzes and the opportunity of questions to the teacher in class and also through mails or office hours. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
