To achieve grade 12, students should meet the following learning objectives with no or only minor mistakes and errors:

Course prerequisites
Strategic Management is a capstone course for an undergraduate business major program. Participants should be familiar with principles of management and functional business management concepts.

However, at all written sit-in exams the student has access to the basic IT application package (Microsoft Office (minus Excel), digital pen and paper, 7-zip file manager, Adobe Acrobat, Texlive, VLC player, Windows Media Player), and the student is allowed to bring simple writing and drawing utensils (non-digital). PLEASE NOTE: Students are not allowed to communicate with others during the exam.
Make-up exam/re-exam
Same examination form as the ordinary exam
If the number of registered candidates for the make-up examination/re-take examination warrants that it may most appropriately be held as an oral examination, the programme office will inform the students that the make-up examination/re-take examination will be held as an oral examination instead.
The 1st retake is the same as the ordinary exam, and the 2nd retake is a 72-hour, maximum 10-pages home assignment
Course content, structure and pedagogical approach

This course introduces participants to the concepts and issues involved in strategic management as well as the actions required to acquire and maintain competitive advantages in business. 

 

Lessons taught will aid participants in understanding the relationship between strategy and business performance. Attention will focus on appreciating why some organizations outperform others in a global environment.
 
Participants will be brought through and develop an understanding of the strategic management process and cases will be discussed to reinforce the theoretical framework.
 

Description of the teaching methods
This course consists of sessions will be based on blended learning approaches, including theory lectures, videos, quizzes, open discussions, student presentations and cases.
Feedback during the teaching period
Students will have several opportunities to receive feedback on their assignments and learning, including a revision session.

Preliminary Assignment:

A generic test/assignment will be developed concerning “Nordic Nine”. It will be uploaded on Canvas at the end of May. Students are expected to access this assignment before classes begin. The assignment will not be reviewed in classes
