The course aims at giving the students a full range introduction to elements that are crucial to planning and managing both big scale festivals, and small scale events. After the course they should be familiar with general managerial functions at events, and understand the role of events in society. They will be able to analyze existing events, and have knowledge of specific tools and measures that are required to succesfully plan and manage events. The course covers all major aspects of event management. Event policies in specific markets will be explored, and specific cases will be presented by the lecturer or analyzed in study groups.
