Course content, structure and pedagogical approach

This course discusses the main principles of logistics and supply chain management and the implications for shipping. The module addresses the importance of a customer orientation as well as the impact of changing macro trends creating extreme volatility in market demand. The participants will gain an understanding of the importance of managing the end-to-end supply chain.

 

Description of the teaching methods
The course will combine lectures, discussions, group work and case presentations. Reading material will be provided to the participants in beforehand for preparation for the module. Participants will be encouraged to think of a relevant work-related project where they can apply the theory they have learned throughout the course in order to translate theoretical learning into practice.

Feedback is given to the student together with the grade when written and oral exams have been evaluated.

The evaluation
At the evaluation unit at CBS’s Economic & Analysis department we ask you to evaluate the overall course. In other words if there has been exercise classes and lectures the evaluation should include both. We evaluate every course and faculty to secure and strengthen the professional level of the offered course.
