Course content, structure and pedagogical approach

The course International Sourcing and Strategic Procurement establishes a theoretical understanding of the roles and processes of procurement, thereby discussing how procurement creates value and how it relates to strategy. The course also focuses on how procurement processes are organized, which key skill sets and competencies are necessary, and how procurement performance is assessed. Finally, the course is concerned with international procurement strategies. Category management and strategic sourcing are introduced as concepts.

Description of the teaching methods
The course is dialogue-based, and students should expect a high degree of involvement. Cases and exercises are discussed and analysed to illustrate the underlying theory.
Feedback during the teaching period
Students receive continual and ongoing feedback through class presentations and discussions. Course and topic-specific learning objectives provide the foundation for student self-assessment.

Saturday in week 35, 36, 37, 38 from 09.50 - 15.10
