In order to participate in the oral exam, the written product must be handed in before the oral exam; by the set deadline. The grade is based on an overall assessment of the written product and the individual oral performance, see also the rules about examination forms in the programme regulations.

Written essay and oral examination individually or in groups of 2-3 students.
Description of the exam procedure

The students start the exam with a brief presentation of their essay, followed by a dialogue with the examiners. Students are allowed to bring to the exam anything they find relevant.

Course content, structure and pedagogical approach

Leadership and strategy introduces to the student philosophical analysis of organization. 

 

The aim of the course is to introduce the students to concepts in leadership and strategy and to employ analytical tools that can help them in their later professional career. The predominantly contemporary curriculum is designed to develop the student's capacity to identify problems, challenges and potentials within organizational leadership and strategy. Furthermore, the course shows students how philosophy can become a productive force in the analysis of organizations.

Description of the teaching methods
The course consists of a variety of activities, including lectures, seminars and workshops. All classes are dialogical and require active student participation.
Feedback during the teaching period
The students will receive feedback on the compulsory assignments in class as well as oral feedback on the final exam. In addition, all students are encouraged to attend the office hours of the faculty.
