Course content, structure and pedagogical approach | ||||||||||||||||||||||
The course will give an understanding of the basic principles and structures of mainly private law, from a European perspective, related to creative business processes in order to choose and assess the appropriate legal structure for business transactions. The course covers the various parts of intellectual property law and related legal branches relevant to creative business processes namely copyright law but also design law, trademark law, unfair competition law, contract law and personality rights. The course includes two voluntary home assignments. |

Description of the teaching methods | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Teaching takes place mainly in large classes and consists of a mixture of dialog-based lectures, presentations, discussions and assignments/cases. The students are expected to make group presentations on pre-assigned case law in order to encourage critical thinking and facilitate constructive collaborations. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Individual written feedback is provided to all students who attempt the ’mock exam’ held two weeks prior to the end of the course. Written feedback is provided on all group written assignments during the teaching period. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
