The eligibility of proposed internships is evaluated by the academic supervisor, the course coordinator, and the Study Board on the basis of two criteria:
1. The relevance of the host organization. The activities of the host organization must be related to the IBA competency profile. Organizations related to business in Asia are desirable, but other organizations can be considered as far as they are relevant to the competency profile. 2. The relevance of the internship position. The student’s responsibilities during the internship should be related to the IBA competency profile. The application for pre-approval should show how the internship will address the competency profile and provide a basis for a report that will meet learning objectives listed above.
IBA supports internships in startups in connection with CSE. This requires an agreement with CSE, which follows a separate application process - for more information see: https://cse.cbs.dk/internship-with-ects/.

Description of the teaching methods
4 supervision hours | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Feedback during the teaching period
Report and research paper supervision should always be a two-way process. Students are encouraged to seek feedback on their work by maintaining contact with their academic supervisor. To benefit the most from academic supervision, it is recommended to be well-prepared for supervision sessions but without losing flexibility to new ideas coming out of discussion.

Further Information | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
An internship requires a pre-approval by an academic supervisor and a course coordinator prior to the start of the internship. It is recommended to submit an application for the pre-approval early so that the pre-approval would be given before the semester starts. Before applying, students are asked to read the course description and the Internship page on MyCBS carefully.
The pre-approval procedure applies to internships at CSE too. Following an agreement with CSE, a student should submit the pre-approval application timely.”
A 7.5 ECTS internship requires a minimum of 170 hours of documented employment.
Please note it is only possible to take one internship. Students should therefore decide whether it should be for 7.5 or 15 ECTS |
