Description of activities | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
A combination of
assignment and presentation: The students present the
results of their group project. They will present the analysis of
climate change related action of a specific company using theories,
models, and practices presented and discussed throughout the
course. They will hand-in a synopsis of the group project (max. 5
pages).
In addition the students must participate in minimum 80 % of the scheduled teaching. |

Course content, structure and pedagogical approach | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The course offers an introduction to the complexity of climate change and business. Combining lectures and interactive exercises the students learn about the science behind climate change (greenhouse gases, their relationship to weather and climate), how climate change will affect different regions of the world, and which actions can be taken. The students learn about how theoretical lenses to analyze climate change and business (e.g., stakeholder theory). The students will analyze the climate change risks and actions of a company. |

Students will learn and apply theories, methods
and tools applied to real cases, and hands-on course activities.
Teaching methods will consist of: interactive lectures, student participation and presentations complemented by scientific articles, practitioner articles, and interactive exercises to understand climate change and business. |
