Course content, structure and pedagogical approach
This course focuses on the design of businesses for the digital age. Digitalization has become an imperative force shaping success and failure in business. By harnessing the power of digital technologies, companies are developing new operating models, organizational structures, and managerial roles that are digital at their core. Technologies such as AI and digital platforms serve not only as tools, but also as essential frameworks that drive value creation and redefine how business activities are organized and managed. AI, in particular, has evolved into an intelligent partner, facilitating value generation, optimizing processes, and enhancing decision-making. This collaborative dynamic between humans and AI is reshaping productivity and innovation, enabling businesses to create solutions that adapt in real-time, forecast trends, and streamline operations.
Success in the digital age requires organizations to be geared towards exploiting constantly emerging new opportunities provided by technological innovations. Beyond launching a stream of digital projects, creating a company for the digital age requires a strategic approach that maximizes opportunities while addressing new challenges, such as cybersecurity risks and data integrity issues. This approach ensures that businesses can harness digital advances while safeguarding their operations and maintaining trust.
With this as a background we structure the course according to the following four elements:

Description of the teaching methods
The interactive teaching methods we apply, including in-class discussions, workshops, poster sessions, walk-and-talks, field visits, and guest presentations will yield the greatest benefit if you are prepared and ready for discussing the topics in the course material. Consequently, you are expected not only to read the material, but are also asked to reflect on its contents. In addition to your individual preparation you are asked to discuss and reflect upon some topics in groups. These group discussions will give you an opportunity to compare ideas and develop your thoughts of the topics discussed in class.
Feedback during the teaching period
Course participants will receive feedback continuously throughout the course from both the teachers and their peers. Teachers will be available during office hours to give feedback or answer questions from students. In the classroom, participants will receive both individual and group feedback on their learning progress .
