This course is an introduction to Danish language and culture, designed to enable students to perform basic tasks in a Danish-speaking context. Practical language skills will be acquired through grammar drills, role-playing and interactive activities. Discussions will focus on aspects of everyday life - e.g. travel, shopping, ordering food, social customs - as well as basic reading and communication skills. Successful completion of the course corresponds to A1/A2 on the
Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for
Languages. Attendance and participation are essential for
success in this course.

| Practical language skills will be acquired
through grammar drills, role-playing and interpersonal activities.
Discussions will focus on aspects of everyday life – e.g. travel,
shopping, ordering food and social customs - as well as basic
reading and communication skills. The teaching language will be a
mixture of English and Danish, with increasing emphasis on Danish
as the course progresses.
