Course content, structure and pedagogical
approach |
Innovation has become an increasingly crucial ingredient in
value generation and development of organizations and human
enterprises at large.
Innovation takes many forms and shapes; Technology driven
innovation allows companies to fundamentally change the economics
of their business, which translates into new business models and
market segments. In the course we will attempt to go beyond the
outcomes of a typical innovation process and look at the
organizational drivers that can influence the process.
The course adopts a corporate entrepreneurship approach to
innovation where the "innovator" or the corporate
entrepreneur is at the core of the analysis. What makes some
managers and employees more innovative and entrepreneurial than
others? What motivates the corporate entrepreneur? How can
organizations stimulate and direct the innovation and
entrepreneurial activities of the corporation? These are
fundamental issues being addressed in the course. Overall, the
course provides a balanced mix of formal theory, critical thinking,
and hands-on experience.
The course focuses on key issues relating to entrepreneurship.
innovation, business growth and societal development. The
participants are introduced to different approaches to
entrepreneurship and innovation and will explore different forms
and domains of entrepreneurship and innovation. They will acquire
knowledge about how the relations between individuals,
organizations, and institutions influence the process of
entrepreneurship and innovation and will learn how the societal
context influences the forms and characteristics of
entrepreneurship and
innovation.

Feedback during the teaching period |
The feedback
Feedback is given to the student together with the grade when
written exam has been evaluated.
The evaluation
At the evaluation unit at CBS’s Economic & Analysis department
we ask you to evaluate the overall course. In other words if there
has been exercise classes and lectures the evaluation should
include both. We evaluate every course and faculty to secure and
strengthen the professional level of the offered course.
