| Learning objectives |
To achieve grade 12, students should meet the
following learning objectives with no or only minor mistakes or
errors:
- Define a manageable project scope and argue for its strategic
importance in the ISP context.
- Conduct a situation analysis, which is driven by analytical
reasoning, applying theoretical frameworks to solid and trustworthy
data.
- Argue for the selection of relevant concepts, models, theories,
processes and perspectives from the EMBA curriculum.
- Identify strategic options, choose and recommend one that can
fulfill objectives defined in the scoping.
- Present a viable and well-argued implementation plan for
solving the chosen problem area (issue).
- Communicate the findings to the Board of Directors, ensuring a
clear communication between scoping, analyses and recommendations
in writing as well as in oral communication.
- Provide reflections regarding own learning during and from the
process.

| Course content, structure and pedagogical
approach |
|
Writing the Master Thesis marks the completion of the MBA, but
it also marks the participant’s ability to excel in utilizing the
theories, models, frameworks and tools that the participant has
encountered and worked with during the courses in the three
terms.
The process of the whole can be described as an intial bottom-up
process, followed by more of a top-down process.
The process starts out with the functional areas that lead up to
the strategic level analyses that in turn leading to
recommendations to be implemented in the functional areas.
The process builds on a sequence, where the different stages
build on the previous stage. The scope sets out the direction for
the four parts in the ISP process. These parts are then integrated
into the final Integrated Strategy Project.
