Examiner(s) Internal examiner and external examiner

Same examination form as the ordinary exam
If the student has submitted their thesis, but is ill at the oral defense, a new defense will be arranged as soon as possible based on the thesis already submitted.
If the student receives a non-passing grade at the regular exam, they have used an exam attempt. It is then a requirement that the Master’s Thesis contract is renewed, i.e. the student must further clarify their original topic delimitation, which must then be approved by the thesis coordinator.

Course content, structure and pedagogical approach

The master’s thesis is normally the last step in a graduate course of study. It is an original research inquiry within the scope of the programme, based on appropriate social science research method, and reporting research question resolution with discussion of broader contributions, if any. Orientation sessions and various workshops are offered in support of all facets of the thesis process.

The purpose of the master’s thesis is for the student to develop and manifest the ability to design, conduct, report, and defend a graduate level research thesis. The general focus of the BLC master’s thesis involves a defined international and/or intercultural issue relevant to companies and organizations.

Students can find further information about writing a master's thesis: my.cbs.dk - Master's Thesis.
