Learning Objectives
The main objective is that students can understand the connection and interaction between law and economics at a theoretical level and be able to use this knowledge in a practical situation for example to improve the law through economic theory and vice versa.
In the project the student must
• Explain the content of the legal and economic theories and philosophies
• Be able to applied the legal and economic theories and philosophies on a business case or policy situation regarding different industries
• Analyse a complex practical situation or problem on a theoretical basis and be able to applicate theory on reality.
• Use a set of theoretical tools to analyse a legal and economic situation or phenomena in the market.
• Identify and reflect upon the theoretical and philosophical implications of the analysed phenomena involving both law and economics problems

Bachelor degree in either law or economic or both

15 pages written project
Exam Period Winter Term
Examination
15 pages written project in CBS standard. The student has 3 hours of supervision. 1½ from the economic and 1½ from the legal supervisor.
The grade is based only on the written project. The project must consist of 50 % economics and 50 % law. Otherwise, the exam is failed. Both supervisors evaluate and grade the project.
To get access to turn in a project the student must be active in classes.
The standard pages etc. of the project follows the CBS guidelines.
Prerequisites for Attending the Exam
The student must be active in classes or the student will not be allowed to write a project as part of the exam.
Course Content

The elective is an interdisciplinary course based on a project and few research and analytical based discussion classes (study group classes) where the students discusses and analyses the material and texts supervised by legal or economic researchers. The project is also supervised by researchers. There will be no lectures on the texts. The classes are based on analysis and discussions as theoretical introduction to the project.

The elective concerns legal andeconomic science on a philosophical level and the interaction between the law and law and economic theory in the syllabus.

Teaching Methods
It is a prerequisite that the students have read the syllabus before the classes and project work. The students must be active both in classes and in project work. The project is individually.

If you want this course, you must be ready to participate in the various discussions and presentations of theories. You must write a project of 15 pages where you connect and combine law and economics in a theoretical, philosophical and business perspective. It is therefore a prerequisite that students actively involved in class and project. You must also choose your own subject in the project. The subject must have an interdisciplinary a theoretical, philosophical and business perspective.
