  • •Describe and explain the preconditions, concepts, models, methods and theories introduced in the course including the CCO perspective.

Examination
The exam takes the form of an individual oral exam (20 minutes) of the syllabus based on a written synopsis (4 pages) produced in groups consisting of 2-3 students. If a student writes alone the synopsis must have a length of 3 pages. A group cannot deviate from a maximum of 3 students per group unless approved by the Study Board. The synopsis is included in the assessment. The exam takes place in March.

Make-up Examination: Student who due to sickness were not able to attend the regular oral examination, but did hand in a synopsis, takes part in the oral examination on the basis of that synopsis. Students who due to sickness, were not able to hand in a synopsis, must hand in a synopsis prior to their individual oral examination.

Re-Examination: Students who did not pass the regular examination must hand in a new synopsis prior to the individual oral re-examination.

The re-examination/make-up- examination takes place in August.
Prerequisites for Attending the Exam
As a prerequisite for the regular examination the students must conduct a group representation at some point during the semester.
Course Content

The purpose of this module is to provide insight into the scientific disciplines and directions which have shaped research on organizational communication. The aim is to provide students with knowledge of the key concepts, models and perspectives within communication theory, which are particularly directed towards the study of organizational communication. The emphasis, thereby, is placed on providing students with tools with which to analyze organizational and communication-oriented issues. The module further aims to provided students with an appreciation of the political (such as power-related) and organizational contexts within which communication analyses in organizations take place.
Specific emphasis is, therefore, placed on students’ ability to analyze practical organizational and communication-related issues in an informed and reflexive manner.
