Learning objectives
Microeconomics applies economic methods in the economic decision‐making
process.
After having followed the course the students should be able to:
 Make decisions using economic theory
 Describe and use simple microeconomic models
 Explain the relationship between microeconomics, economic theory and
decision science
 Identify the main subject areas in microeconomics, and explain how they
are related to each other

As an introduction to the basics of economics, the course provides the prerequisite for all the subsequent economics courses in the BLC program. The course is simultaneously offered to ASP students as the mandatory introduction to economics.
