Learning objectives
On completing this course, students should be able to provide a theoretically well-grounded analysis of a concrete case. More specifically, they should demonstrate the ability to:
  • Identify and describe communication problems in a concrete case.
  • • Analyze and explain the causes of the selected problems by drawing upon the scholarly literature introduced in the course:
  • - Argue for the relevance of the chosen theoretical framework,
  • - Explain and use the theoretical key concepts correctly.
  • Select, present, and interpret relevant evidence from the case.
  • Reflect on the potential weaknesses of the account
  • Produce good academic writing:
  • - Clear, accurate, and precise prose and correct use of relevant terminology,
  • - Coherent structure of the paper,
  • - Correct use of references.
