Content is similar to that covered in
an undergraduate macroeconomics course in North America. The course
is intended to expose students to a range of economics topics and
analytical methods. The main topics covered include Exchange and
Markets; Demand, Supply and Market Equilibrium; Elasticity: A
Measure of Responsiveness; Market Efficiency and Government
Intervention; Consumer Choice Using Utility Theory; Production
Technology and Cost; Perfect Competition; Monopoly and Price
Discrimination; Market Entry and Monopolistic Competition;
Oligopoly and Strategic Behavior.
