Some organizations struggle to make the smallest changes to their IT portfolio; projects constantly exceed deadlines and budgets. Other organizations gain huge competitive edges with strategic use of IT and in mastery of software development - they even find it fun. In this course we scratch the surface and try to answer the question: How can an organizations gain a competitive edge in implementing, developing and using IT? |

Teaching methods | |||||||||||||||||
Preparation for classes: Before every lecture the students are expected to read the literature for the lecture and watch a brief video (20-30 min.), where the lecturer reflects upon the theory behind the literature. At the end of every video the student will be presented with a couple of questions, so the student can evaluate if they have understood the literature. Video casts are also part of the curriculum. Class time: During class time the students work with cases to apply the theory. To facilitate the learning process and to inspire the students, different representatives from the industry who work in relevant fields and internal professors/lecturers from the Institute are invited in to help. |
