With the growing importance of the
world trade, the knowledge of public regulation of international
economic activities has become a necessity.
Lawyers working in international and business environments increasingly have a need to understand the regulatory framework under which economically interdependent states operate. The course gives an overview of the law and policies underlying international economic relations and teaches the principles of international economic regulation. This course covers the regulation of international trade in goods, services and intellectual property. - Legal Foundations of International Economic Integration - GATT/WTO System, rules on international trade and dispute resolving mechanisms. - Global Intellectual Property law - International Environmental Law The course is taught through a combination of lectures, seminars and case-studies. Thorough preparation and in-class participation is expected. |
