The course analyses the important aspects of China’s political economy, with an emphasis on the domestic politics of China’s international economic relations. They include China’s trade, financial and monetary policies, policy for inward investment, state-owned enterprises and economic nationalism, aid and outward investment, China in economic regionalism, China’s role in global economic governance, China and the global financial crisis, China's challenge to existing development models, and Chinese capitalism. | |||||||||||||||||||||
