- apply the different models and theories presented in the course
in the analysis of organisational issues
- explain and compare the different models and theories presented
in the course, as well as discuss their strengths and weaknesses
when applied to selected examples / empirical

Oral exam based on written product
In order to participate in the oral exam, the written product
must be handed in before the oral exam; by the set deadline. The
grade is based on an overall assessment of the written product and
the individual oral performance. |

The students write a synopsis in groups of 2-5
students, and hand in the synopsis 3 weeks before the oral exam.
Length: Maximum 5 pages regardless of group-size.
Individual oral exam in curriculum based on a group synopsis and
the grade is based on an overall assessment. However, in such a way
that
it is predominantly the oral presentation, which is the basis for
grading. |

Make-up exam:
If the student produced and handed in the required synopsis for the
ordinary exam, but had fallen ill at the ordinary oral examination,
then the oral examination for the make-up exam will be based upon
the synopsis.
Retake:
If the student did not pass the oral exam, the retake will be held
as the ordinary exam, following the same general
guidelines.

| Course content and structure |
The primary aim of the course is to equip the
students with theories and models which enable them to understand
and analyze organisational issues related to the following: groups
and teams in organisations, the relationship between the individual
and the organisation, organisational structure, and management in
organisations.
The course seeks to use relevant case material, thereby allowing
the students to see how the various theories and models can be used
to generate insight into organisations. |
| Teaching methods |
| Teaching methods consist of lectures and
tutorials where the students, both individually and in groups, work
with exercises based on relevant cases. In week 41 and 46 the
students will complete and hand in 3 page assignments in groups of
2-3 students. |
