Course content and structure
The course consists of an internship in a real start-up company, where the students work part-time (paid or unpaid) during the semester. It’s the responsibility of the students to find such a company, and it’s a requirement to pass the course that an internship has been completed. The instructors will also assist the students in getting contact to interested start-up companies.

Via the internship the students get real-life experience in working in a start-up environment and using the theories/concepts learned during the “From Good Idea To Venture” elective, by solving specific tasks for the start-up company. This will give the student new perspectives on the theories learnt in class and be able to compare theory and practice within entrepreneurship.

An important side benefit of the internship is the personal network that the student builds by working together with entrepreneurs. A network that strengthens the students’ future possibilities - and might be the ticket to a future job in a start-up company.
Teaching methods
During the internship one of the CBS instructors will be assigned to each student as supervisor, who will give guidance to the development of the project report used in the exam.
It’s an additional requirement that the student follow the course “From good idea to venture”. The elective can either be taken during the same semester as the internship, or have been previously completed by the student.
