Learning objectives |
To achieve the grade 12, students
should meet the following learning objectives with no or only minor
mistakes or errors: After the course the successful student can:
- analyze a complex situation by choosing and applying relevant
theories and methods from the IBP curriculum to the situation,
- can justify the choice and application of theory and
methods,
- can formulate and justify recommendations for actors based on
the analysis.

Course prerequisites |
The idea of the course is to develop
your ability to integrate insights from the disciplinary core
courses in the IBP master program. Therefore, it is strongly
recommended that you have participated in all the other
core-courses of the first semester of the MSc IBP program. The
other core courses are: International Political Economy,
International Business Strategy, and the Fundamentals of
International Economic Law. |

Oral exam based on written product
In order to participate in the oral exam, the written product
must be handed in before the oral exam; by the set deadline. The
grade is based on an overall assessment of the written product and
the individual oral performance. |

If ill at the regular oral exam,
students are entitled to attend the retake oral exam based on the
written group synopsis handed in at the regular exam.
Students failing the regular oral exam must hand in a new 5 page
synopsis to the retake.

Course content and
structure |
The course focuses on decision-making problems in complex
real-life or simulated real-life situations involving international
business and politics. It includes cases from the private
for-profit sector, the private non-profit sector, and the national
or international public sector. It draws on theories and
methods presented in the program’s core courses in international
business strategy, international political economy and
international economic law.
