Learning objectives
To achieve the grade 12, students should meet the following learning objectives with no or only minor mistakes or errors: At the conclusion of this course the students should be able to:
  • Discuss and apply the central models, frameworks, and theories presented in the class, both theoretically and practically.
  • Analyze a problem related to tourism supply or operations management, identify weaknesses or challenges, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify and discuss the role of the various actors involved in tourism supply and operations management related to various transport modes and transport infrastructure providers.
  • Analyze a practical tourism supply or operations management situation using the models presented in the course.
  • Present current trends within tourism supply and operations management and discuss their impact on the current tourism supply infrastructure.
Course prerequisites
English language skills equal to B2 level (CEFR) and math skill equal to Danish level B are recommended.

Teaching methods
The course methods include lectures and structured class activities, such as Harvard-style case-based learning. In the lectures the different theories, models, and content are presented; a selection of cases relating to the field will be assigned with interactive exercises in class. It is assumed that the assigned reading, articles, and cases for each session have been read by all students prior to classes.
