Learning objectives
To achieve the grade 12, students should meet the following learning objectives with no or only minor mistakes or errors:
  • Utilize the POCD framework to evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Discuss the key activities, resources and relationships necessary to develop products/services with a viable customer value proposition.
  • Develop business plans of products and/or services and undertake iterative testing and revision of these plans based on primary and secondary research.
  • Use various methods for presenting ideas to others in a variety of contexts. A specific outcome of these efforts will be the new business pitch that student teams will complete on the last day of class.
Prerequisites for registering for the exam
Number of mandatory activities: 1
Compulsory assignments (assessed approved/not approved)
One activity-based grading (pass/fail), with retake possibility during the course. Passing the compulsory assignment is a prerequisite for participating in the regular exam.

Course content and structure

This course offers theory, knowledge, and the practice of specific skills for: developing and testing business models Using lean startup processes, engaging in successful collaborative team efforts; skapa and modifying prototypes through "lead user" techniques, and using various digital technologies for engaging others in the social construction of the future.

 

The pedagogy for the class ice, primarily studio-based learning. Using knowledge from assigned readings, short lectures and case studies, class discussions and group exercises; the class will utvikle, modify and refine a series of business models, and product / service prototypes thatwill serve as inputs for evaluating the feasibility of a particular idea / opportunity. Students (alone or in teams) will Being ansvarlig for developing and refining a business model and a prototype for a specific opportunity during the term.
