Course content and structure | ||||||||||||||||||||||
In this course various theoretical frameworks for understanding
European integration will be introduced and the different
explanatory models applied to different aspects of the
European Union. A core focus will be on the linking of theory and
analysis, and how theory is employed in academic work.
Discussion of paper writing, and how to apply theory to academic analysis will also be a major part of the course. |

Teaching methods | ||||||||||||||||||||||
The course will consist of teacher’s presentations and active classroom discussions where we will seek to link the theoretical and empirical aspects. Students are expected to participate actively in these activities based on the reading materials. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Feedback during the teaching period | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Students will receive feedback on their paper
outlines and problem statements, as well as suggestions for
improvements, either by e-mail or, if needed, through one-on-one
meetings. There will also be in-class discussions on paper writing.
Students are also welcome to seek additional feedback on the paper after the assessment. |
