Course content and structure | ||||||||||||||||||||||
This course is an introduction to the basics of the EU legal system and its importance to European business. Students will learn about the EU treaties, the creation of the single market and the current challenges to doing business in the EU. The focus will be on understanding legal issues in the European market, how the success of a business may be promoted by handling of these issues and which business opportunities are facilitated by EU legal rights. |

Teaching methods | ||||||||||||||||||||||
The teaching will take the form of lectures, discussions of recent cases, and interactive forms of teaching such as negotiating, arguing cases and advising clients. Detailed instruction on how to complete the final exam will be conveyed throughout the course. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Repetition questions will be used in each lecture
to recap on the previous lecture; this will allow students to
reflect on their own understanding/knowledge gain
One lecture is reserved for case studies which will be solved in groups and in the class. |
