Learning objectives |
To achieve the grade 12, students should meet the
following learning objectives with no or only minor mistakes or
errors:
- Understanding legal texts in selected areas and explaining the
legal content, using the proper legal vocabulary in the given
communication situation
- Adapt texts to the target audience, the communication situation
and the communicative purpose of the text
- Demonstrating understanding of linguistic and stylistic
conventions typical of legal texts
- Communicating in conformity with the norms of morphology,
syntax and orthography

Course content and structure |
Marketing law in a linguistic perspective
- The aim of this course is to enable students to understand and
apply EU marketing law in Danish and English.

The course embraces both legal and linguistic aspects of EU
marketing law, including the processing of personal data. The focus
is on the understanding of basic EU law.

Students will be acquainted with the linguistic characteristics
of legal writing as well as the specific linguistic challenges that
we encounter when working with legal language. During the course,
we will be working with the relevant legal terminology, e.g. when
students are given feedback on their assignments.
