The re-take takes place according to the same rules as the regular

•For projects where some of the group members are awarded the grade
00 or below at the oral examination, the failed students must
submit individually, before the re-take, 2-3 pages on aspects of
the project, as specified by the internal examiner.
•For projects where all members are awarded the grade 00 or below
at the oral examination, the overall project is deemed
unacceptable. Before the re-take, the project must be revised and
improved. For supervision in this respect, the internal examiner
will give a brief written critique of the project within eight
working days after the regular oral examination.

Description of the exam
procedure
- The examination is an individual oral examination of 20
minutes, based on the bachelor project. Although the project is the
focus point for the examination, the examiners may ask questions
relating to other parts of the curriculum. After the examination
each student will receive individual feedback on his or her oral
performance and be given a grade. Groups will be allotted an
additional collective 10 minute feedback on the written
project.
- The student will be awarded one grade according to the 7-point
grading scale, reflecting an overall assessment of the project, the
oral presentation and the defense. The student’s proficiency in
spelling and fluency in writing will also be taken into account in
the assessment. However, most emphasis will be put on the academic
content.
- The examination is carried out by two examiners, one external
and one internal.
- For additional information about the examination procedure,
please see the bachelor project
manual.

Course content and structure |
The bachelor project is the final project in the undergraduate
programme, and the objective and requirements should be seen as a
continuation of the first and second year projects. Naturally, the
requirements are more rigorous than they are for the former
projects with regard to definition of the research question,
methodology and use of theory and data.
Students are encouraged to choose their research question in
cooperation with an organisation or corporation, and the research
question may draw on problems and issues experienced during their
internship, if the student has participated in an internship
programme.
Guided by the project’s research question, the project can draw on
knowledge from all three years of study. The overall theme of the
bachelor project is organisational sociology and must show the
student’s ability to integrate knowledge by formulating an
interdisciplinary problem and conducting a systematic and valid
analysis within the framework of a complex theme, discussed in the
light of processes and practices related to economic
sociology.

Teaching methods |
lectures, Seminars and workshops |
Feedback during the teaching period |
Feed-back is given throughout the semester in
different ways:
1. The ongoing supervision, where the supervisor provides ongoing
supervision on the students written draft and relevant discussion
regarding the project
2. The Conference seminar approx. 1 month before BA hand-in, is
both a peer-feed-back by fellow students and supervisor feed-back
by approx. 3 supervisors. This secure and align the quality of the
project, directs the students in the right direction and provide
the students with supervisor feedback from supervisors, who
supervise other BA projects at the programme.
3. After the oral exam, the students are invited for feed-back on
the written BA project by their supervisors
