| Learning objectives |
To achieve the grade 12, students should meet the
following learning objectives with no or only minor mistakes or
errors: Aim of the course is to provide a real-life experience in
the form of a consulting report, researched and written by a team
of junior consultants (students). The student should apply the
analytical skills acquired during the first year on a problem of
relevance to a company or an organisation.
The aim of the course is to:
- provide the participants with an in-depth knowledge in a
specified problem area in finance, economics, and/or corporate
strategy
- apply concepts and analytical skills acquired during the first
year of graduate study to a specific problem
- train the participants with respect to writing a report that
follows academic standards and clearly communicates the problem and
the analysis within a limited time period based on
teamwork

Make-up/re-exam will take place in
the Fall with a report submission deadline in September/October.
* if a whole group fails the exam they must hand in a revised
product for the re-take.
* if one student in the group fails the exam the examiner chooses
whether the student will have the re-take on the basis of a new or
a revised project.

Description of the exam
procedure
The project is conducted in groups over a period of 1 month.
For groups of 2 the report must not exceed 30 standard
pages excluding appendices.
For groups of 3 the report must not exceed 45 standard
pages excluding appendices.
The department provides each group with a
supervisor.

The course is a foundation course and complementary to all courses
taught in the first year of the FSM concentration.
