| Course content and structure |
|
This course focusses on the EU institutional environment and
discusses the governance of the internal market with a particular
focus on business related policies. The course will consider,
amongst other things, a range of contemporary issues such as the
economic crisis and the possibility of disintegration. The course
aims to provide the students with a deep understanding of 1) the EU
institutions and how they interact with business and social actors
to produce legislation; 2) how the internal market is regulated and
in particular the role played by competition policy; 3) classical
and contemporary theories of political and economic integration; 4)
the EU policy areas that are of the greatest relevance for
business.
